Changing the date format according to cultures

As a user I want to be able to change the date format across Sitefinity, based on the available cultures.

Really appreciate if this simple feature is implemented.

Here here! You'd think such a basic feature would be part of the platform. Why are we forced to use American format?????

I see Victor has assigned category as 'Multilingual mode'. Definitely speaking it can be not multilingual case too - we develop sites for UK users (en-GB culture) and they wishes to see dd/MM/yyyy date format always, backend and frontend.

Just took a look at SF 9 Beta. Good news - it already formats the date in the backend grid correctly. Bad news - Publish/Unpublish on Specific Date dialog still shows USA format, not en-GB as configured in SF settings.
